Amplifying Online Product Discovery

Jamar’s challenge was two-fold across its internal and external operations. The home decor retailer was searching for a solution to support its customer service representatives in easily finding and recommending similar products to shoppers, particularly when items were out-of-stock (OOS). Jamar wanted to remain a step ahead of the competition by improving the customer journey and boosting conversion (CVR), cross-sells, and upsells. Facilitating product search and discovery for customers on the front end was also a key objective for Jamar. The home decor retailer aimed to boost its online merchandising efforts and connect consumers with the right products to encourage shopping for their entire home, not only a single piece of furniture or other home decor item.


Customers Love Seeing Similar Items

Syte’s Image Search and Discovery Button was deployed on Jamar’s desktop and mobile interfaces. Recommendation Carousels, including Shop Similar and Shop the Room, provided inspiration and ideas for buyers to shop an entire ambiance. It also enabled Jamar employees to help users find alternatives for out-of-stock (OOS) items, as well as similar products. Syte’s advanced personalization technology on product listing pages (PLPs) and product detail pages (PDPs) encouraged buyers to upload their photos and find similar items to browse and shop. Syte’s advanced personalization integration ensured that consumers were served with relevant product recommendations based on cumulative session history.
